Terms of Use

1. The service

PDF Studios offers free, browser-based tools to edit, convert, merge, split and otherwise process PDF documents. No account is needed. Every tool runs in your browser; your files are never sent to our servers and never stored.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PDF Studios to:

• Process unlawful content or infringe anyone's intellectual property, personality or privacy rights
• Work on documents you have no right to process
• Try to get around technical protection measures (an opening password, permission restrictions) on documents that aren't yours
• Attack, disrupt or overload the site by automated means, or try to bypass its security

3. Passwords and permission restrictions

Our tools respect the permission restrictions (editing, copying, etc.) a document's owner has set and do not bypass them. The Unlock PDF tool only lets someone who knows the correct password remove it from their own document; permission restrictions can only be removed with the owner password. Knowing a password does not by itself give you the right to work on a document — making sure you have that right is your responsibility.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the files you use. They are processed in your browser and never sent to us; we claim no rights over your content and cannot see it.

5. Signatures and the legal validity of documents

The PDF editor lets you draw a signature and place it on a document as an image. This is a picture of your handwriting, not a secure electronic signature under Turkish Electronic Signature Law No. 5070, and not a qualified electronic signature under the EU eIDAS Regulation. It is not issued with a qualified certificate and does not by itself identify the signer.

Under Law No. 5070 only a secure electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one, and not even that for transactions the law subjects to an official form or special ceremony, or for guarantee contracts. A signature image placed with PDF Studios therefore does not replace a wet-ink or secure electronic signature where the law, a court or the other party requires one.

Deciding whether a signature image is appropriate for your document is your responsibility, and you may only place a signature that is yours or that you are authorised to use. PDF Studios is not an electronic certificate service provider and does not verify signers' identities.

6. Fees

PDF Studios is free. If optional paid features are ever offered they will be announced in advance, and you will never be charged for past use.

7. Availability

The service is provided free of charge and "as is". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue it without notice. Check output files before relying on them and keep copies of important documents.

8. Liability

Except for intent and gross negligence and any liability that cannot be limited by law, and bearing in mind that the service is free, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of data or loss of profit arising from its use. Mandatory consumer rights under Turkish Law No. 6502 are unaffected.

9. Intellectual property

The PDF Studios name, logo, site design and source code belong to Taha Bozdemir. Open-source components used on the site are subject to their own licences, listed with their licence texts at /third-party-licenses.txt.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is always on this page; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers' statutory rights to apply to the competent court or consumer arbitration committee are unaffected.
