Run OCR
Choose a scanned PDF — a searchable text layer will be added and downloaded. Your file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
Drag & drop a PDF, or click to chooseOnly .pdf files are accepted
What the OCR tool does
- Recognises the text in scanned PDFs and adds an invisible text layer, so you can search, select and copy it.
- The pages look exactly the same as before.
- Turkish and English text recognition.
- Pages that already contain text are left as they are.
How to make a scanned PDF searchable
- Choose your scanned PDF, or drag it onto the box above.
- Pick the document language.
- Press Run OCR: the searchable PDF downloads when every page has been read.
OCR without uploading your documents
Scanned documents are often IDs, contracts or medical records. Here the text is recognised inside your browser, so nothing is uploaded. The OCR engine and language model are downloaded once, on first use, and then reused.
Frequently asked questions
Which languages are supported?
Turkish (which also works for mixed Turkish and English text) and English.
Why is the first run slower?
The first time, your browser downloads the OCR engine and language model (a few MB). Later runs reuse them.
Is the recognised text always correct?
No OCR is perfect. Clear, straight scans at a good resolution give the best results.
Is my document uploaded?
No. Recognition runs on your device and nothing is sent to us.
